Quality Control Officer (Fashion) Job Location: Yaba, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Description As Quality Control/Procurement Supervisor, your role involves implementing stringent quality control measures and managing supplier relationships. The ideal candidate must have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the fashion industry (mandatory). Only qualified candidates with the required experience in fashion will be shortlisted. Responsibilities Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure products meet specified standards. Inspect incoming materials and finished products to meet quality and safety standards. Conduct regular audits of production processes and provide feedback to improve quality. Address and resolve any quality issues or defects promptly. Prepare, maintain and present detailed records/reports of quality inspections, tests, and audits on quality control and procurement activities to senior management. Manage procurement budgets and ensure cost-effective purchasing practices. Collaborate with the production team to understand and meet quality and procurement requirements. Communicate quality control standards and procedures to all relevant departments. Provide training and support to staff on quality control processes and standards. Source and negotiate with suppliers for the best prices, quality, and delivery terms. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the General Manager to ensure adequate stock. Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and products. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality control and procurement practices. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency. Person Specification BSc / HND in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as quality control and procurement in the fashion industry mandatory. Strong knowledge of quality control standards and procedures. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with inventory management software. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Salary N150,000 per month.
