Responsibilities
-Identify regulatory issues and concerns associated with tax compliance by reviewing contracts, policies, and guidelines of the company
-Ensure our company’s internal processes are compliant with existing tax laws by monitoring tax development at local and national levels
-Negotiate with tax authorities to resolve tax payment issues and ensure tax filings are submitted within the estimated timelines
-Provide guidance to the finance, accounting, and operational teams on compliance requirements and applicable tax criteria
-Advise senior management on compliance risks and tax liabilities regarding our corporate strategies, including emerging laws and trends
-Review income tax returns, monitor tax-deductible expenses, and issue business permits and licenses as and when required
-Manage and improve internal tax audit capabilities to identify tax exposures and compliance risks before external audits take place
-Maintain the company’s tax database, update tax rates, and correct data errors to ensure tax filings are accurately processed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field
- Strong grasp of risk mitigation practices and governance frameworks
- Proficiency in HRIS software, Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
