Position: Network administrator No of Vacancies: 1 Salary: $28.85 hourly for 35 to 40 hours per week. Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time. Location: Edmonton, AB Shifts: Day, Evening, Morning Requirements: Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language. Education: Candidates should have Bachelor’s degree. Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years. Candidate Status: *Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position. *International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply. Responsibilities: The candidates should be able to perform routine network start-up and close down and maintain control records. The candidates should be able to perform data backups and disaster recovery operation. The candidates should be able to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade web-server hardware and software. The candidates should be able to set up local area networks and connections to the internet. The candidates should be able to maintain, troubleshoot, and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment. The candidates should be able to evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software. The candidates should be able to operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to coordinate access and use of computer networks. The candidates should be able to load computer tapes and disks and install software and printer paper and forms. The candidates should be able to modify web pages, applets, and scripts. The candidates should be able to supervise technical staff and provide problem-solving services to network users.
